The Fray at Bradley UniversityThe Fray is a well known American rock band from Denver, Colorado with similar vibes as U2 and Cold Play. The concert event is scheduled for 4/30, at 7PM, and will take place at Bradley University, in the Renaissance Coliseum. The Fray will perform hits from their album "Helios." The openers of the show will be The Orwells and The Plain White T's.
Tot Time: Fun for Tots & Their Big PeopleTot Time: Fun for Tots & Their Big People is an event in Lewistown that will take place at Dickson Mounds Museum, on 05/01, between 9:30am and 11:00am. This year the Tot Time topic will be "Go Fly a Kite." The admission is free and no registration is required.
Celtic Woman: The Emerald TourOn 05/02 you can enjoy the all new stage production that celebrate Ireland and Celtic heritage at Peoria Civic Center, at 7:30PM. The admission fee costs between$52.30 and $73.50. The show will present pop songs and traditional Irish anthems by the music producer David Downes, interpreted by the angelic voices of Celtic Woman band.
Central Illinois Arts Organization First FridaysThis event will take place on 05/02, at 5-9PM. You can meet musicians; explore galleries in eleven locations throughout the Peoria Area. The admission to this event is free.
Princesses and Pirates DayThe Princesses and Pirates Day event invites you to come at the Peoria Zoo dressed in your pirate or princess outfit, on 05/03, between 11a.m.-2PM You will meet dragons and parrots up close, will explore the world of pirates and princesses, play fun games, and does a scavenger hunt for prizes.
The Addams FamilyOn 05/05, 7:30PM, you are invited at the Peoria Civic Center to enjoy the macabre new musical comedy The Addams Family. The admission tickets are priced $39.00, $56.00 and $69.00.
All Bands UnitedAll Bands United is an all ages event scheduled for 05/10, between 12PM-1a.m. The concert show will take place at Limelight Eventplex. Admission costs $10 if paid in advance and $15 at the door. At the concert will participate artists such as Shadows Inc., Know Lyfe, Reaping Asmodeia, Last Scene Ends, Through Eyes of Tomorrow, and many more.
Songs from the WoodsOn 05/10, at 7PM, you can enjoy Patchouli in concert at Forest Park Nature Center. At the show will also participate some of the best folk musicians and songwriters. The admission fee is $7 per adult and $6 for ages 12 and under.
Hickory Ridge Concert SeriesOn 05/17, the historical folk musicians Rhonda Rucker and Sparky return to Hickory Ridge. The concert will take place at Dickson Mounds Museum, between 7:30PM-9:30PM. The admission fee is $3 for children and $5 for adults.
Neon Vibe 5KAt Expo Gardens, on the date 05/17 you can enjoy the most exciting glowing color 5K run on the planet. The race will begin at 8:30PM, but Gates will open early, at 7:00PM. Admission costs $42 for early bird registration through April 16th, $45 for registration between April 17 and May 15, and $50 on the day of event. The after dark Neon Vibe 5K fun run is an exciting event that you surely won’t want to miss.
International Music, Wine & Beer FestivalThis event will take place on 06/01, at Mackinaw Valley Vineyard and Winery, between 12PM-6PM The admission is $10 for people over 21 and includes 5 tasting tickets and souvenir glass. For people aged 13 to 20 the admission is $5. Children under 12 benefit from free admission. The festival will feature 55+ beers and 55+ wines from around the world, for tasting and purchase. The event promises to be attractive for all the wine and beer lovers, who can enjoy tasting their favorite beverages.
Morton BBQ ThrowdownThe Morton BBQ Throwdow is a family-friendly event that takes place in the city of Morton, IL on July 25th-26th. The Morton BBQ Throwdow has two purposes: to raise money for the local charity organization (The Illinois Cancer Care Foundation) and to bring the thrill of professional BBQ to central Illinois.
The Morton BBQ Throwdown features two days of local bands performing live on the entertainment stage, a backyard competition for local BBQ enthusiasts, a KCBS professional BBQ competition, a covered beer garden, a large craft vendor fair, and several top notch food vendors offering burgers, pizza, BBQ, kettle corn and many more.
Kids will have the opportunity to enjoy fun activities such as face painting, inflatables, and a petting zoo. The event gathers funds for cancer clinical trials and research and to date they have been donated over $47,000.00 to the Cancer Care Foundation in Illinois.
